Across 1.74 million whale trades captured on our own servers, BTC whale volume peaks between 13:00 and 15:00 UTC — the US equity open — running about 4.5× the quietest hours of the night. Publishing at 16:10, 00:10 and 08:10 UTC means each report closes out one of those windows instead of cutting through the middle of one. Those three times are also when Binance settles funding, so every report opens with a funding rate that just printed rather than a stale one.
